At Brushes & Beyond, we firmly believe that creativity is a universal language accessible to everyone. Our studio was founded on the principle of fostering a welcoming space where individuals can explore their artistic potential without pressure. Whether you're a seasoned artist or picking up a brush for the first time, our goal is to inspire, engage, and connect through art.

Our History

Brushes & Beyond grew from two things that have always been close the my heart, creativity and caring for people. I have spent more than 20 years working within the care industry with much of my experience focused in dementia care, as well as working with SEN and young adults with learning disabilities. Along the way, I have had the privilege of supporting people through many different stages of their lives, and I have seen just how powerful creativity can be in bringing people together, encouraging expression and creating moments of happiness and connection.

I am a level 3 Mindful Practitioner and a qualified Dementia-Care -Trainer and soon realised how much art should be accessible to everyone. This belief is at the heart of Brushes & Beyond.

Our aim is to provide a warm, welcoming and completely non-judgemental space where people can come along, have a go and learn something new, make something they are proud of, and simply enjoy being creative with the help of guidance learning.

Whether you’re joining one of our Art Workshops or bringing a loved one to a dementia-friendly session, looking for creative activities for a care home, or wanting a birthday party for your children or simply looking for a couple of hours to yourself,  you will always be made very welcome at Brushes and Beyond.
